A Tale of 3 Christmas'

I am exhausted, we have been going nonstop since Christmas Eve.  We spent Christmas morning at home then headed over to Danny's parents house to spend Christmas afternoon with NaNa and Pop pop.  The next morning we woke up bright and early, piled in the car, and spent the weekend at Grandma and Papaw's house.  Grandma always does a theme Christmas and this year we did a Candy Christmas with holidays of the year.  Not as creative as usual but we had a great time eating, playing Wii, throwing frisbees at targets and even a cupcake decorating competition.  Danny won for best theme (a night at the movies) and I won for best overall cupcake.  I guess the fix was in because Ethan was the judge!

Christmas at home
Ethan loved everything, Gavin
well.....
Yep...you guessed it....he was
disappointed with the first
present.  Gotta love four year
olds!
The aftermath....I have no idea
what I was thinking getting toys
with so many small pieces....ughh.

Christmas at NaNa and Pop Pop's
Wow...it's the best
present EVER
Give a boy any object and
they will turn it into a gun...
give them a gun and they
turn it into a guitar.
Madison liked Christmas
presents

Christmas at Grandma and Papaw's
Holiday shelves...the candy
on the football shelf is beer.
My niece at Auburn thought
it was appropriate.
This is what happens when
you give boys plastic
candy canes....they become
weapons!

mine, of course!

Oh, Christmas Tree...

I decorated two trees again this year.  One traditional tree in red and white and one a little more crazy.  I have no idea if it is the economy or just me being insane but I wanted to do a tree that looked like it might be in a Dr. Seuss book.  I wish I had taken a picture of Danny's face when he walked in and saw the tree....he thinks I have cracked!  Oh well, I like it and so do my kids so I guess that is what matters.  The first two are of the "traditional" tree and the last two are the fun tree.

Christmas

Well, it is getting close to Christmas so I thought I would post a few pictures.  Unfortunately, I was sick for my sons performance at his school and also for the Santa night so my husband took my camera for me.  I am going to have to tell him he can take more than just one picture when he has my camera.  *sigh* guess I really can't complain since I wasn't there.
The last picture is Gavin as a camel in the nativity scene.  The other two are self explanatory, Ethan and Gavin asking Santa for everything ever made!!  Actually, they did great and stuck to the plan only asking for one item each.

Twilight

Well, here is the thing. I have a slightly obsessive personality. Luckily, for me, as I already said I have a short attention span so it never gets to the point where I am....say being arrested in London for stalking Orlando Bloom! My lastest one is the Twilight book series. I read the first two in four days and am trying my hardest not to continue reading book three until Alexis catches up with me so we can talk about them. It is so stupid how hard it is to pass by that book when I see it sitting on my nightstand. I guess you could say it is my own special brand of heroine....ha ha....couldn't resist lame I know. But, I am not alone in this new obsession which makes it much more fun. Hollie was the first one at work to get hooked and she is slowly getting everyone else reading. The only bad part is that I think we would all prefer to sit around and talk about the series rather than do our jobs, not good considering the current job climate. There is so much more I would like to say about work......but I won't.
I am hoping to take pictures of the boys for a Christmas card this weekend. If I do get around to it, and they actually cooperate, I will try to post a few pictures of them.

Finally joined

Well, I finally decided to join so I could post comments on other peoples blogs.....I am selfish that way. Also, so I could post pictures and actually show them to my coworkers.  My company email blocks photos so this is a way around that....mwuuhaha. Hopefully I will get organized and actually post a few pictures later, but don't hold your breath I have the attention span of a fruit fly.  Though if a fruit fly could talk I am sure it would say it was offended by that statement. Seriously, anyone that knows me knows how ADHD I can be sometimes.  Considering how normal my life is I am pretty sure this blog will not be full of nail biting excitement but that is all right with me.  Who knows maybe that will come later! ;)
